December training
I am about six weeks into my training for tab 2017 and whilst it's not a completely perfect picture, it is looking okay.
On the plus side, I have been getting out on my winter bike, which is very uncomfortable on long rides. I have also joining a spinning class which is giving my legs and cardiovascular system a decent work out three times a week.
On the less positive side, my diet is all over the place. I have probably managed to stay on target once or twice in the whole six weeks. My pattern seems to be: healthy breakfast, light lunch, reasonable dinner and then binge. I need to get this under control. My weight is fairly stable at 88kg which must be due to the exercise, not the sensible eating.
Spinning has been good as it has made a real difference to my energy levels, I really felt the benefit.
I haven't done much running. I also haven't had much back or leg pain which was such a feature of October. I don't know how much this is due to streching and the healing process and how much is due to only running a few times. I have also been getting back into the kettlebells, with a very light weight on my injured right arm. So far so good, actually feels much better than it did.
Christmas in just over a fortnight. This will be the real challenge. I have ducked out of all but one of the Xmas parties and aim aiming to keep up the spinning through the last two weeks at work. When we actually break up, I am going to see if I can do something every day, even if it's just 20 minutes on the turbo. Hopefully I can actually get out on the bike, even on Xmas day.
